Theatre Etiquette
- REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR TICKETS
Things you should be checking your ticket for: 1. Date of performance 2. Time of performance 3. Seat row and number. Access door. Give yourself enough time for arrival. The theatre is open at least an hour prior to the performance time, admission to the Auditorium is approximately 5 minutes prior to the show start time. In some cases there may be a “Lock Out” start to the performance, during which time there is no admission to the Auditorium. After lock out, or in general, Ushers will only admit latecomers where there is a suitable break in the programme.
- REMEMBER YOU ARE ATTENDING A LIVE THEATRE EVENT
The performers can see and hear you!. It is inconsiderate not only for them, but fellow audience members, to talk during a performance. Save your comments for the interval or after the show.
- MOST THEATRES DO NOT ALLOW FOOD OR DRINK IN THE AUDITORIUM
Queens Park Theatre is no exception. Children’s performances, are generally exempt from this rule.
All beepers and mobile phones need to be switched off. For those audience members who need to remain contactable during a performance ie: Doctors on call, you can leave your seat number and phone with the Front of House Manager, who can come and get you in the event of a call out
- PLEASE KEEP FEET OFF THE SEATS
- DO NOT WALK OVER THE SEATS
- NO CAMERAS, VIDEOS OR RECORDING DEVICES
Not only is it against copyright laws, flash photography is distracting to the performers and fellow audience members.
Minimum dress standards apply, No Shirt, No Shoes, No Entry.
